BlackRock Names Aubenas Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income

(Bloomberg) — BlackRock Inc. named Michel Aubenas as head of emerging markets fixed income, replacing Amer Bisat, who’s leaving the world’s largest asset manager to become Lebanon’s economy minister.

Aubenas has been the lead portfolio manager for the firm’s global emerging-market sovereign debt portfolios for more than a decade, BlackRock said in an emailed note. He has been with the firm since 2012.

Bisat was appointed Lebanon’s economy chief over the weekend, and will be part of a team tasked with preparing a recovery plan to unlock a package with the International Monetary Fund.
