Tesla Stock Leads Magnificent Seven Shares Higher

Tesla’s (

) shares were the
S&P 500
‘s top gainers Tuesday as the
Magnificent Seven
big tech stocks rose on Christmas Eve.

Shares of the EV maker finished the day up more than 7%, making them the best performer sin the benchmark index—ahead of Super Micro Computer (

SMCI

), which rose about 6%.

Other “Mag 7” stocks also rose today, a holiday-shortened session that came ahead of
a day off tomorrow
and kicked off the
Santa Claus Rally
period. The major indexes all
rose today
, led by the
Nasdaq Composite
.

Amazon.com (

AMZN

) added 1.8%, the largest gain of the rest of the Magnificent Seven. Meta Platforms (

META

) added 1.3%. Apple (

AAPL

), Microsoft (

MSFT

) and Alphabet (

GOOGL

) were also in the green.

All of the S&P 500’s 11 sectors were in the green today.
